The list of SharePoint Saturdays in Europe continues to grow beyond imagination. Just a few years ago, there were SharePoint Saturdays in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands and that was about it. Over the last 2 years many new events have seen the light of day: Sweden, Norway, Finland, France, Jersey and Italy.
All these events are being organized by active community members who speak themselves at numerous events throughout Europe and the rest of the world. It’s nice to see that the enthusiasm is spreading fast and more and more speakers want to organize an event in their home country.
I’m therefore very happy to be invited to two new events happening in a couple of months: SharePoint Saturday Barcelona, organized by Edin Kapić and SharePoint Saturday Munich, organized by Matthias Einig.
For the first time, I’m co-presenting a session with someone else. In Munich, I will deliver a session on SharePoint Search together with my buddy Elio Struyf - will be fun!
Running Provider Hosted Add-Ins On-Premises
Level: 300 - Track: IT Pro
Setting up your on-premises SharePoint farm to run SharePoint Hosted Add-Ins only involves battling with the network admins to get your dedicated Add-In domain and running a bit of PowerShell to get your service applications ready. Once you've fought that fight you can lean back and let your users download and run Add-Ins from the SharePoint store or even upload Add-Ins a developer created for you. All is good, until the inevitable day arrives that they want to use Provider Hosted Add-Ins. Why? Because they're cool: you can run your Add-In on any platform, use any fancy framework you like and use whatever language you want. Developers like that kind of freedom. This session will show you how to prepare your on-premises SharePoint 2013 farm to run Provider Hosted Add-Ins.
An IT Pro and a developer walk into a bar - SharePoint Search happy hour

From setting up and scaling the infrastructure needed - with a bit of hybrid sprinkled on top - to mixing the right cocktail of user interface tweaks and optimizations to get your users actually using search. Developers and administrators unite to create a better search engine!
